“I wasn’t treated well in the past” – but Vinales happier than ever at Aprilia
After finishing third in the Catalan MotoGP sprint, Vinales led more than half of the grand prix as he came within a second of victory. Despite his strong performance, teammate Aleix Espargaro proved to be too strong once again. Vinales, who has had a great relationship with Espargaro for many years, admitted that he needed to be convinced to join Aprilia. Three years ago, they had a conversation where Vinales was unsure about leaving Yamaha for Aprilia. However, he took a bet on himself and joined Aprilia, believing that two strong riders can achieve more together. Vinales feels respected and valued in Aprilia and considers the team to be the best in his career.
