The McLaren driver will start from P16 on the grid after exiting in the early stages of the session.
Lando Norris was disappointed with his early exit in qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, describing it as a “reality check” for McLaren. Despite comfortably being in the top ten during Q1, he decided to pit towards the end as the track conditions improved. However, his lap time was beaten by other drivers, pushing him back to 16th on the grid. Norris acknowledged that his performance was reflective of McLaren’s overall performance for the weekend. He admitted that they had been lacking pace and that the car had not performed well throughout the weekend. Nonetheless, Norris found a silver lining in the situation, believing that it served as a reality check for the team.
