Ferrari has agreed a new multi-year contract extension with Charles Leclerc.
Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur has explained the key factors in renewing Charles Leclerc’s contract, stating that Leclerc has been part of the Ferrari family for many years now and has grown to become one of the strongest drivers in Formula 1. The new deal, announced on Wednesday morning, secures Leclerc “for the coming seasons”, though the exact length was not disclosed. Leclerc’s previous contract had tied him to Ferrari until the end of 2028, during which time he achieved eight wins, 27 poles, and 52 podiums. Vasseur highlighted Leclerc’s talent, determination, and commitment to the team and Ferrari’s values as reasons for the renewal, expressing mutual satisfaction in working towards shared goals with the 2017 F2 champion.
