Rene Rast’s Triumph: Battling a Headache for Victory at Zandvoort DTM

During the Zandvoort weekend, Schubert BMW driver Rene Rast hit his head before the second DTM race, which impacted his performance but he managed to secure his 29th career DTM victory with determination and skill. Despite suffering from a headache, Rast managed to focus and even took painkillers to get through the race. However, his symptoms escalated during the podium ceremony, feeling discomfort, dizziness, and tingling in his fingers. After the race, Rast had to undergo medical examinations due to his condition, including a CT scan at a hospital in Haarlem to rule out any injuries to his head and neck. Fortunately, no injuries were detected, and Rast was cleared to compete in the upcoming race at Le Mans, showcasing his resilience and dedication to the sport.
