Adrian Newey has officially confirmed his exit from the Red Bull Formula 1 team and expressed his intention to “seek new challenges.” Red Bull announced that Newey will leave the team in the first quarter of 2025. As a renowned car designer, Newey has been instrumental in building championship-winning cars for Red Bull, including the dominant 2023 RB19 with a 95.5% win rate. His next career move remains unknown, with speculations linking him to Ferrari, Aston Martin, or retirement. Reflecting on his time with Red Bull, Newey expressed gratitude for realizing his dream of being an F1 engineer and playing a key role in the team’s success. He will continue working on the RB17 hypercar project until its completion and attend a few F1 races with the team this year. After 19 years with Red Bull, Newey thanked his colleagues, shareholders, and business partners for their support and collaboration throughout his tenure.
