The long-serving Chief Technical Officer is to leave the team at the end of the 2024 season.
Red Bull Racing announced that Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey will be leaving the team. Newey will focus on the RB17 hypercar project until its completion in early 2025 before departing the organization. Reports indicate that Newey grew uncomfortable with the handling of an investigation into team boss Christian Horner at the start of the 2024 season. Despite his contract originally running until the end of the 2025 season, Newey may now freely negotiate with other teams for next season. Newey’s track record includes 13 Constructors’ and 12 Drivers’ championships, with significant success at Red Bull. Potential destinations for Newey include Ferrari and Aston Martin, who have shown interest in acquiring his services.
