Mick Schumacher’s IndyCar debut ends in disaster

Mick Schumacher did not get very far into his first-ever IndyCar race.

Mick Schumacher’s IndyCar debut was cut short by an incident on the first lap, marking a premature end to his race.

The former Haas F1 driver recently transitioned to the Indycar series, joining Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing for this new chapter in his career.

The St. Petersburg round kicked off the IndyCar season, with Scott McLoughlin securing pole position for the race.

Starting from 21st on the grid, Schumacher aimed to showcase a strong debut by moving up the field during the race.

However, his hopes were dashed when an early collision involving Sting Ray Robb and Santino Ferrucci led to Schumacher being forced out of the race after just four corners.

Both Schumacher and Ferrucci were unable to finish the race due to the incident, while Robb managed to continue despite the contact.
