Honda name ‘critical’ target in ‘fundamental’ Monaco test

Honda has set a “critical” target for the Monaco Grand Prix weekend to rebuild its reputation after a challenging start with Aston Martin. The partnership was established due to the new 50-50 power split between combustion and electrical energy. The PU suffered from failures and issues, resulting in five retirements in the first five grands prix. Aston Martin is currently at the bottom of the constructors’ championship, but Monaco presents an opportunity to improve performance. Specific focus areas include energy management settings, cooling specifications, and optimizing driveability in slow-speed corners. The trackside general manager emphasized the need for driver feedback and maximizing performance during the three hours of practice.
