During the morning warm-up for the Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, only about half of the field completed a full lap, but many did some out-and-in laps. Felipe Nasr set the fastest time in the No. 7 Porsche Penske Motorsport entry, followed by Harry Tincknell and Mathieu Jaminet in Porsches as well. High Class Racing’s Anders Fjordbach led LMP2, and Rasmus Lindh was the quickest in LMP3. Danny Formal topped GTD in the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports with WTR Acura NSX GT3 Evo22. In the GTP points standings after yesterday’s qualifying session, Albuquerque/Taylor and Wayne Taylor Racing lead, followed closely by Sims/Derani for Whelen Engineering Cadillac Racing and Tandy/Jaminet in the Porsche Penske Motorsport No. 6. Jenson Button is participating in his first Petit Le Mans and is trying to navigate the challenging traffic on the circuit. The race control at Petit Le Mans is testing out a new system by SBG Sports Software to aid in making quick decisions.
