During the second practice session for tomorrow’s IMSA SportsCar Grand Prix of Long Beach, the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) times significantly improved, with Sebastien Bourdais topping the time sheet just before qualifying in the No. 01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R. The track conditions improved with more rubber on the surface, and Bourdais set a lap time of 1m11.637s to outshine Nick Yelloly in the No. 25 BMW. Pipo Derani and Philipp Eng also showcased strong performances, placing third and fourth, respectively. Despite tight competition, Bourdais’ lap separated him from the rest, with the Acuras struggling at the bottom. In the GTD class, Stevan McAleer set the best time at the end of the session in the No. 66 Gradient Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo22. Danny Formal and Albert Costa Balboa followed closely behind in second and third. The intense session saw a few cars facing challenges, but overall, the practice ran smoothly and led up to the exciting qualifying rounds.
