Macau GP: Williams junior Browning wins qualifying race
Browning, a member of the Williams Driver Academy, had a dominant run to the chequered flag at the Macau Grand Prix. He overcame Gabriele Mini’s best efforts to take the lead twice on the run to Lisboa. Browning quickly built a lead after reclaiming the top spot from Mini on the opening lap. A collision on the second lap brought out the safety car and erased Browning’s lead. However, he managed to pull away again after the restart, with Dunne overtaking Mini for second place. Browning maintained control of the race and gradually extended his lead to win by 2.097 seconds. Mini finished in third, followed by Beganovic in fourth. Hauger, Boya, and Aron completed the top seven. Marti, Hadjar, and Maloney rounded out the top 10.
