F1 Las Vegas GP: Leclerc leads Ferrari 1-2 in delayed second practice
In the Formula One practice session, Fernando Alonso finished third, while Max Verstappen from Red Bull came in sixth place. The session started 2.5 hours late due to repairs on the track surface following Carlos Sainz’s and Esteban Ocon’s accidents in the earlier FP1. The session took place without any fans present due to security reasons. The drivers used both soft and medium tires to test the number of laps needed to prepare the tires for a flying lap. Several drivers set the fastest times as the track conditions improved. Leclerc initially led the session, but Alonso and Sainz took turns at the top. Leclerc eventually set the fastest time with 1m35.265s.
