“Manthey Porsche driver Thomas Preining secured victory in the second race of the Norisring round in the 2025 DTM season, starting from sixth on the grid and executing a flawless strategy to triumph over Emil Frey drivers Jack Aitken and Thierry Vermeulen.
The race began with a dramatic incident in Turn 1, involving several cars that retired, leading to a red flag to clear the debris from the track.
After the restart, Preining managed to overtake both Aitken and Vermeulen during pitstops to claim the lead and eventually win the race by 1.5 seconds.
Despite fierce competition and challenging moments, Preining expressed his happiness with the hard-fought victory, acknowledging the intense battle and strategy that led to his success.
The race also saw incidents involving other drivers, such as Tom Kalender and Gilles Magnus, adding to the eventful nature of the competition.”
