Sebastien Buemi regained his Formula E podium from the Jakarta E-Prix as the FIA reversed his penalty.
Nico Muller was denied his first Andretti podium due to this decision, which was confirmed by the FIA on Friday.
The penalty reversal stemmed from new evidence presented by Envision Racing, including footage and telemetry supporting Buemi’s innocence.
Following a hearing, stewards determined that no party was largely at fault for the incident at Turn 13 in Indonesia.
Buemi’s second podium of the 2024/25 season moves him up to 10th in the championship standings.
On a related note, a protest against a penalty for Oliver Rowland was rejected by the FIA earlier in the week.
