Starting grid for today's Catalunya MotoGP: How the race will begin
Pecco Bagnaia, the current MotoGP leader and defending champion, starts the race from pole position, making him the favorite. However, his closest competitors, Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi, face a challenge as they begin from fifth and 10th on the grid. Aleix Espargaro is a strong contender to keep an eye on, as he topped the timesheets on Friday and won Saturday’s sprint race, starting just behind Bagnaia. Unfortunately, Enea Bastianini’s qualifying was marred by a three-place grid penalty for impeding another rider, placing him in 11th position. Lastly, three out of Honda’s four riders will have to overcome the last three starting positions.
