With his first Sunday MotoGP points of the year finally in the bag, Marc Marquez will be hoping his ‘calm approach’ now brings his first home
Repsol Honda star Marc Marquez missed the Barcelona rounds in 2020 and 2022 due to arm injuries and crashed out of the 2021 race. However, from 2014 to 2019, he consistently finished first or second in all but one race. Despite adopting a more subdued approach since the summer break, Marquez hopes to put on a great show for the fans at his home race. Meanwhile, his teammate Joan Mir, who also ran the new high-downforce Honda aero in Austria, is looking forward to his first Catalunya round as a Repsol Honda rider. Mir aims to produce a good result and be the top Honda representative at the event, despite facing challenges in recent races.
