Luca Marini is set to be confirmed at Repsol Honda but not before his MotoGP replacement has been found.
Marini is set to join Repsol Honda on a two-year deal for the 2024 MotoGP season, pending a signature and his current team finding a replacement. Fermin Aldeguer is a potential rider to join Marco Bezzecchi as a replacement from the VR46 Academy. Fabio Di Giannantonio, currently with Gresini Ducati, may also sign with Mooney VR46 management, staying with Ducati machinery. However, Aldeguer, previously linked to the vacant Honda ride, is rumored to be the favorite. Negotiations have begun between Mooney VR46 and Aldeguer, and there is a possibility of a double transfer between Marini, Honda, Aldeguer, and Mooney VR46. Compensation may be required to dissolve Luca Biscoscuro’s contract with Speed Up team. The deal is expected to go through, although VR46 has alternative options.
