Isotta Fraschini hires Alonso academy driver as it reshuffles 2024 WEC line-up
Nineteen-year-old Carl Wattane Bennett, a member of Fernando Alonso’s driver academy, has been signed by Isotta Duqueine to replace Alex Garcia for their assault on the Hypercar class in the World Endurance Championship. Bennett has experience in Spanish F4 and Formula 4 Brazil, and is currently competing in the LMP2 class of the Asian Le Mans Series. He expressed his excitement and commitment to representing Thailand in motorsports and achieving great things with Isotta Duqueine. Canadian driver Serravalle, who has previously raced in the Road to Indy ladder, will also be joining Isotta’s lineup. Jean-Karl Vernay, a touring car star and Le Mans class winner, will be the only experienced driver in the team’s lineup. Vernay expressed his excitement for the upcoming WEC season and the strong lineup Isotta has assembled.
