Honda will field a wildcard rider, Aleix Espargaro, at the British Grand Prix, marking the third consecutive MotoGP weekend with a wildcard entry.
Espargaro, a former Aprilia factory rider, took over the ‘development bike’ initially ridden by Takaaki Nakagami at the Spanish Grand Prix.
British fans can anticipate Espargaro’s return to race action at Silverstone where he will pilot the third RC213V.
Despite finishing 14th at the Jerez race, Espargaro highlighted a vibration issue affecting the bike’s performance under race conditions, emphasizing the need for further tests and solutions.
Honda, along with Yamaha, benefits from testing concessions under current regulations, allowing for ongoing development on their machines.
