Isack Hadjar disqualified from Miami qualifying over ‘illegal’ Red Bull
Isack Hadjar has been disqualified from qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix due to his Red Bull being found to have illegal components. Despite qualifying in ninth place, the Frenchman’s RB22 car failed inspection when the left and right-hand side floor boards were discovered to be protruding 2mm outside the allowed boundaries. Consequently, the Red Bull was declared illegal and excluded from the qualifying session, resulting in a reshuffling of the grid as all drivers moved up a place. The FIA stewards confirmed that the team did not challenge the technical delegate’s findings, leading to the enforcement of penalties outlined in Article C3.5.5 of the FIA F1 Regulations. The decision was based on an admitted breach of the technical regulations concerning the dimensions of the floor boards.
