Renault Group CEO Luca de Meo announced his departure from the Alpine Formula 1 team’s parent company, citing a desire to pursue new challenges.
Following de Meo’s decision to step down, the Renault board accepted his resignation, which will be effective on 15 July after a 30-day notice period.
De Meo expressed confidence in leaving the company in a strong position, with strategic plans in place for future products and a capable team.
During his tenure, de Meo oversaw the transformation of the Renault F1 team into Alpine and made significant strategic decisions, including the switch to Mercedes engines for the 2026 season.
The departure of de Meo will see the search for a successor as Alpine navigates the evolving landscape of Formula 1.
