Charles Leclerc signs long-term Ferrari F1 contract extension
Charles Leclerc has signed a new contract to extend his stay with the Ferrari Formula 1 team, keeping him with the team for the “coming seasons.” This announcement comes on the eve of his home grand prix in Monaco, further solidifying his commitment to the team he joined in 2019. Leclerc expressed his happiness and gratitude, emphasizing the deep connection he feels with Scuderia Ferrari, labeling them as a second family. He acknowledges the responsibility that comes with being a Ferrari driver and reiterates his determination to push towards their shared goal of bringing the World Championship back to Maranello. With an impressive record of eight grand prix wins, 27 poles, and 52 podiums, Leclerc is currently in third place in the 2026 drivers’ championship with 75 points.
