Williams hit with Monaco punishment after qualifying near-miss

Williams was fined €5,000 by Monaco Grand Prix stewards for a near-miss involving Arvid Lindblad during qualifying. Alex Albon was summoned by the stewards for the incident that took place in Q2. Albon drove around his teammate Carlos Sainz, briefly blocking Lindblad from entering his pit-box. Lindblad narrowly missed running over a mechanic’s foot attending to Albon’s car. Williams admitted it could have handled the situation differently, receiving a formal warning and a fine for the safety issue. Albon qualified 11th, Sainz 12th, and Lindblad 15th. Audi was warned after Nico Hulkenberg blocked Charles Leclerc in the tunnel due to miscommunication.
