Mercedes enters the Miami Grand Prix this weekend hoping to claim its fourth successive win at the start of the new F1 season.
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff warns that the squad’s strong start to the season is of little significance if they become complacent about their position in the championship standings. Despite winning all three of the opening grands prix, their momentum was momentarily halted by a five-week break after the cancellation of two races in the Middle East. With the on-track return imminent in Miami, Wolff acknowledges the importance of not standing still as rival teams likely used the break to make improvements. F1 teams have made regulatory changes to address issues from the early races, aiming for improvements in racing quality while maintaining the sport’s competitive essence. Wolff expresses confidence that these adjustments will enhance the spectacle of Formula 1 moving forward.
