Cadillac director Mario Andretti recently claimed that both the team’s drivers were “rusty”, with Sergio Perez refuting that.
Sergio Perez disagrees with Cadillac F1 director Mario Andretti’s concerns about him and team-mate Valtteri Bottas being “rusty.” Andretti suggested that the drivers were lacking seat time in F1 after spending 2025 on the sidelines. Despite Andretti’s comments, Perez firmly believes that they have been performing at a high level. Perez highlighted his strong performance, especially in Melbourne, and believes he is in a good place in terms of driving. He expressed satisfaction with his pace and performance, dismissing the notion of rustiness due to the time away from the cockpit.
