Oscar Piastri recovered to the top 10 after starting towards the back of the field in Las Vegas but suffered a puncture during the Grand Prix after colliding with Lewis Hamilton.
Oscar Piastri does not believe that the puncture he got from contact with Lewis Hamilton affected his final result in the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Both Piastri and Hamilton had punctures during their battle for position on Lap 16. Piastri pitted immediately for new tires, while Hamilton continued on before pitting a lap later. Piastri ran as high as fourth but dropped to 11th after pitting again for medium tires. He felt that the incident with Hamilton was just a racing incident and that it didn’t greatly impact his race. He also wondered if a one-stop strategy could have worked for him.
