Formula E’s newest team, Opel, are not messing around when it comes to the drivers it is trying to sign for its arrival next season.
According to reports, Mitch Evans is being considered as a serious option for Opel, the new entrant in Formula E for Gen4 next season as a full manufacturer operation.
Opel has reportedly offered a contract to Evans, with previous interest shown towards Jake Dennis from Andretti Racing.
Opel is also considering 2023 F2 champion Théo Pourchaire as a potential candidate for their Formula E team.
Sophia Flörsch has been announced as Opel’s test and development driver for the upcoming season, becoming the team’s first driver signing.
Evans’ departure from Jaguar seems likely, especially since he was excluded from their Gen4 development activities.
If Evans does leave Jaguar, many believe Stoffel Vandoorne is the leading candidate to replace him for the new season.
