High Stakes and Historic Triumphs: The Dramatic Turn of Events in Miami Grand Prix

Kimi Antonelli made F1 history in the Miami Grand Prix – as Max Verstappen finds himself facing a stewards investigation.

Kimi Antonelli made history by winning his first three F1 grands prix from his first three poles at Miami. Despite losing the lead to Charles Leclerc at the start, Antonelli regained the lead and successfully undercut Lando Norris after pit-stops, securing the net lead of the race. The battle between Antonelli and Norris intensified throughout the race, with Antonelli facing gearbox issues but managing to stay ahead. Antonelli’s victory, paired with George Russell finishing fourth, extended his lead over Russell in the championship to 20 points. Max Verstappen crossed the pit-exit line during the race and faced a post-race investigation, while Lewis Hamilton finished seventh with a damaged Ferrari.

The Miami race began with Verstappen and Leclerc overtaking Antonelli off the start, resulting in a chaotic scene with multiple incidents on track. Antonelli ultimately fought his way back to the front, engaging in a close battle with Norris and Leclerc throughout the race. Safety car periods due to crashes further shook up the race, with Verstappen making strategic pit stops that put him out of sequence with the leaders. Despite struggles with gearboxes and track limits, Antonelli maintained his lead, securing his third consecutive grand prix win. Norris claimed second place, while Piastri overtook Leclerc for third as Leclerc spun out on the final lap, allowing Russell and Verstappen to advance in the closing moments.
