Max Verstappen responded to Carlos Sainz’s criticism by describing the F1 midfield as “a jungle.” Sainz accused Verstappen of being aggressive towards the midfield drivers expecting them not to fight back. Verstappen made a bold move inside Sainz in the early stages of the Miami Grand Prix. Sainz expressed concerns over Verstappen’s actions at Turn 17, feeling they were at risk of crashing. Despite the incident, Sainz managed to finish P9 in a solid race, avoiding trouble and gradually moving up the positions. Verstappen, when asked about Sainz’s comments, simply stated that he sees the midfield as a challenging and competitive environment.
