Despite qualifying in fifth for the Miami Sprint race, Verstappen was competitive with McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes, even outperforming George Russell and Lewis Hamilton. He noted improvements in performance but mentioned a lingering weak spot in high-speed corners.
