Liam Lawson joins Alex Albon in Canada Sprint qualifying absence
Liam Lawson will not participate in Sprint qualifying at the Canadian Grand Prix due to car damage from practice. The New Zealander had to stop early in Montreal due to a hydraulics issue, losing power steering. Recovery of Lawson’s car was delayed, hindering repair efforts before Sprint qualifying. With his car still in pieces and missing key components, Lawson had to sit out. The field is left with 20 cars, as Alex Albon is also out after hitting a marmot in practice.
