Lewis Hamilton discovers fate after post-qualifying stewards’ investigation
Lewis Hamilton was investigated by the F1 stewards for impeding Pierre Gasly during qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix. Despite being summoned to discuss the incident, Hamilton avoided a penalty. The stewards considered various data and evidence before deciding not to take further action against the seven-time champion. Both Hamilton and Gasly advanced to the next segment of qualifying. The F1 stewards concluded that the impeding incident was not deemed necessary to penalize. Hamilton finished Q3 in fifth place after the investigation.
