Formula E driver Zane Maloney is getting ready to make his comeback at Rally Barbados this weekend, which is an eagerly anticipated event in his home country Barbados.
This rally will be Maloney’s first participation since 2023 when he transitioned into a professional racing career.
Considered a hometown hero, Maloney’s return to the region’s most significant annual motorsport event is creating a buzz of excitement.
He will be driving a Porsche 992 Rally GT through the 19-stage rally starting on Friday and ending on Sunday.
Competing in the Open R/GT class, Maloney aims for class victory as he is not qualified for the overall title.
Maloney expressed his enthusiasm for the event, mentioning the thrill of driving fast while generating excitement with the loud and sideways action of the Porsche, bringing joy to the people of Barbados and basking in the support of his fans.
