Formula E’s new car – the Gen4 – is set to grab a significant amount of attention when it hits the race track competitively for the first time.
Former Formula E driver Sam Bird has praised the upcoming Gen4 car in the all-electric championship as a “game-changer”. The Gen4 car will officially be unveiled next Tuesday at the Circuit Paul Ricard to select media in a strictly closed event. The new car marks the beginning of Formula E’s next regulatory cycle, with upgrades including 600 kW of power, permanent all-wheel drive, and speeds over 200 mph. Bird, with experience in 11 Formula E seasons, believes the Gen4 era will elevate the series in terms of technology and popularity. He highlighted the importance of gradual growth for Formula E to attract big manufacturers and emphasized the significant performance enhancements of the Gen4 car.
