After a troubled start to the season, Fernando Alonso believes Aston Martin finally has some “relief.”
Fernando Alonso expressed his relief that Honda’s extensive testing work at Sakura has eliminated the vibration issue plaguing Aston Martin.
Following the struggle with vibrations since the Australia opener, countermeasures have been successfully deployed, with Alonso finishing in Japan in round three without issues.
Alonso now believes the vibration problem is firmly behind the team after testing and confirmation on track in Miami.
The decision to not bring performance upgrades to Miami was part of the team’s initial plan due to existing reliability issues and performance restrictions.
Alonso emphasized the importance of a cost-cap strategy, stating that bringing performance upgrades would not make sense given the gap to the cars ahead.
