There was a multi-car incident on the first lap of the FIA F3 Sprint race in Monaco.
FIA Formula 3 driver Brad Benevides confirmed that he suffered broken vertebrae after a first lap crash in Monaco. The incident occurred during the Sprint race on Saturday morning when he clipped another car and was thrown into the air before landing forcefully on all four wheels. He was then pushed into a barrier by Christian Ho of Rodin Motorsport and taken to the hospital for evaluation. Benevides shared a photo on social media from his hospital bed, revealing the extent of his injuries. The race was ultimately won by Gerrard Xie of DAMS, following the disqualification of the original winner, Hiyu Yamakoshi of Van Amersfoort Racing, due to a technical violation.
