Formula 1 and the FIA continue to work towards adding another round to the F1 season after the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix could not run in April.
F1 and the FIA are exploring the option of adding another grand prix to this season’s calendar after the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian races were cancelled last month. The possibility of rescheduling one of these events is being considered. The congested nature of the calendar following the summer break originally made it seem unlikely to find a suitable alternative date. F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali mentioned the potential to recover a race, with the weekend of October 2-4 between Azerbaijan and Singapore Grands Prix now under review. Logistics and human resources would be significant factors influencing the decision, especially considering a potential quadruple-header to end the season alongside existing contractual obligations. Recommending a decision that is mindful of both the sport’s integrity and the fans’ interests.
