Charles Leclerc was involved in three separate stewards’ investigations after the Miami Grand Prix, including for leaving the track and gaining an advantage multiple times.
Charles Leclerc faced consequences for repeatedly leaving the track and gaining an advantage during the final lap of the Miami Grand Prix. Despite spinning and crashing his Ferrari, Leclerc managed to continue but eventually finished in sixth place after receiving a 20-second time penalty, resulting in an eighth-place demotion. The stewards’ decision to penalize him was based on multiple infractions of gaining an unfair advantage by using run-off zones. As a result of Leclerc’s penalty, Lewis Hamilton and Franco Colapinto were each promoted one position in the final race standings. The stewards concluded that Leclerc’s mechanical issue did not justify his actions, leading to the imposition of the penalty for gaining an unfair advantage.
