George Russell claimed pole position for the sprint race at the 2026 F1 Canadian Grand Prix, surpassing Kimi Antonelli.
Despite Antonelli’s leading position before the session, it was Russell who secured the top spot.
Mercedes’ drivers dominated the competition, widening the gap between them and the rest of the field.
Lando Norris finished third, followed by his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri and the Ferrari duo of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.
Unfortunately, Liam Lawson and Alex Albon were unable to participate in the session due to car damage sustained during practice.
