Palou masterclass nets second IndyCar championship with Portland win
Alex Palou won his second IndyCar title in three years, driving brilliantly to victory in Portland. He faced tough competition from his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate, but managed to hold him off. Felix Rosenqvist also put up a strong fight in his Arrow McLaren Chevrolet, but couldn’t catch Palou. Pato O’Ward had a great race for Arrow McLaren as well, holding off Josef Newgarden and Rinus VeeKay. The race started with Graham Rahal taking the lead, but Palou quickly moved up to third position. Will Power and Romain Grosjean faced some troubles early on, with Power spinning off and Grosjean sustaining damage. It was a thrilling race with several pit stops and strategy plays, but Palou ultimately emerged as the champion.
