AlphaTauri has confirmed that Liam Lawson will replace Daniel Ricciardo until he recovers from his hand injury. Ricciardo broke a bone in his hand during practice at the Dutch Grand Prix and had surgery in Barcelona. He will miss the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, and Lawson will continue to drive alongside Yuki Tsunoda. Lawson impressed Red Bull team principal Christian Horner with his performance at Zandvoort, despite the challenging conditions. Ricciardo’s return will depend on his recovery, with potential venues being the Singapore Grand Prix and the double-header at Suzuka.
