Yuki Tsunoda Takes Responsibility for Mistake in Dramatic Imola F1 Qualifying Crash

Yuki Tsunoda apologized to his Red Bull team for crashing during qualifying for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, which will force him to start the race from the back of the field.

The Japanese driver lost control of his RB21 and hit the inside wall in Imola during the first part of qualifying.

Tsunoda was taken for precautionary checks but was released before the end of qualifying.

He admitted the crash was “unnecessary” and took full responsibility for pushing too hard without understanding the car well enough.

Tsunoda expressed feeling ashamed, disappointed, and frustrated after the incident, which was his first Q1 accident in four years.

His team faces a significant repair job to get his car ready for the race, and Tsunoda acknowledged the unnecessary burden his mistake put on them.
