Yuki Tsunoda has acknowledged that his massive Imola F1 qualifying crash will have lasting impacts, leading him to revert to a previous floor design for the Monaco Grand Prix.
Following the significant accident at Imola, where Tsunoda hit the barriers, he will now use Red Bull’s older floor to compensate for the damage caused to his car.
Tsunoda’s crash means he will be behind in terms of specification compared to his teammate Max Verstappen, who had been using the new floor.
Acknowledging his lack of understanding of the Red Bull’s reactions to set-up changes, Tsunoda plans to approach the Monaco Grand Prix more cautiously to gradually improve his performance.
While admitting the challenges of driving the bumpy Red Bull car at Monaco, Tsunoda aims to build his confidence and pace gradually as he navigates the demanding street circuit.
