Aston Martin Formula 1 driver Lance Stroll will make his comeback at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal following a successful treatment for a hand injury.
Stroll faced worsening pain in his right hand after the Spanish GP and opted out of the race to seek medical help.
After surgery on a previous wrist fracture, Stroll tested an older F1 car at Paul Ricard and received clearance to participate in the upcoming weekend’s race.
Aston Martin confirmed Stroll’s return, stating he is fit and eager to compete in front of the home crowd.
The team’s strategic decision to conduct a test in France proved crucial in assessing Stroll’s readiness for competitive racing again.
Stroll’s withdrawal in Spain sparked speculations, but the focus remains on his recovery and determination to race at the Canadian GP.
