This win marked Riggs as the first Ford driver to triumph in a Truck race at Pocono since Ryan Blaney in 2013, and it was his third career victory but first of the 2025 season. Riggs attributed his success to his team’s outstanding performance, highlighting the speed of his vehicle during the last run. Despite not being the dominant driver, Riggs capitalized on opportunities presented by Corey Heim and Carson Hocevar’s misfortunes, ultimately seizing the lead and clinching the win.
Although Heim initially appeared poised for victory, a late-race tire issue dashed his hopes, allowing Hocevar and ultimately Riggs to contend for the top spot. The race saw its fair share of incidents, including a multi-truck accident involving key contenders Enfinger, Rhodes, Ankrum, and others. Riggs’ strategic position during the restart, coupled with Hocevar’s penalty for an early start, ultimately propelled him to the front of the pack. This decisive moment secured Riggs’ well-deserved victory, with Gray, Honeycutt, Jones, and Hemric rounding out the top five finishers on a dramatic day at Pocono.
