Unveiling the Power of Purpose: Harnessing Your True Potential

In December of this year, Mohamed Ben Sulayem is vying for a second term as FIA President through a democratic election process at the General Assembly. This assembly consists of representatives from 245 member organizations across 149 countries, handling agenda points from the World Motor Sport Council, World Council for Automobile Mobility and Tourism, and the Senate, also voting in major FIA officials. The upcoming presidential election will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on December 12th.

To run for president, candidates need to form a list with key positions, including president of the senate, deputy president, and multiple vice-presidents for sport, automobile, mobility, and tourism, ensuring global representation. Candidates must be under 70 years old on election day and can serve a maximum of three four-year terms. Eligible lists require support from a certain number of sporting and mobility members.

Each member country has a maximum of 24 votes split between sport and mobility, with voting done by secret ballot and the winner decided by an absolute or a simple majority. In the previous election, Ben Sulayem won with 61.62% of the votes, and so far, no opposing candidate has been announced for this term. Former rally champion Carlos Sainz Sr is reportedly considering running against Ben Sulayem for the FIA presidency.
