Tickford to scale back to two cars in 2024
Ford’s famous racing team, Tickford, has officially announced that it will reduce its team size from four cars to two, selling two of its racing charters back to Supercars. Supercars has purchased the two charters, with one set to be shelved and the other to be sold to Blanchard Racing Team. The retained drivers for Tickford have not been specified yet, but it is expected that Cam Waters and Thomas Randle will continue to drive for the team. The decision to reduce the team size is motivated by the desire to focus all resources on winning the championship in 2024 and beyond. Meanwhile, other drivers like James Courtney and Declan Fraser are now on the market, with Courtney likely to join the Blanchard Racing Team and Fraser potentially missing out on a seat.
