Revving Up History: Retromobile Roars into New York with Gerard Neveu at the Helm

Gerard Neveu will lead the organizing team for the event at New York’s Javits Centre from November 19-22 next year. With 25 years of experience in motorsport and automotive industries, Neveu brings a wealth of contacts and expertise to the US market. During his tenure at WEC, he laid the foundation for the championship’s current success, particularly with hybrid technology attracting multiple manufacturers.

Neveu played a key role in aligning regulations between IMSA and ACO, and previously served as the Director of Paul Ricard Circuit. The New York show will capitalize on the thriving US classic car scene, aiming to attract collectors and enthusiasts from around the world. Neveu has already secured significant exhibition space and a partnership for a classic car auction at Gooding Christie’s.

The New York event aims to host 200-250 exhibitors, with the majority from the USA, and expects 50,000 – 60,000 visitors. Neveu hopes to replicate the success of Retromobile Paris while infusing the New York event with its own American flair. The goal is to uphold the prestige of Retromobile while offering a unique experience tailored to the US audience.
