Revving Reviews: Formula 1 Drivers Share their Thoughts on Brad Pitt’s ‘F1’ Movie

“After years of filming in paddocks and pit lanes around the world, the Brad Pitt-led F1 movie will arrive in cinemas next month, with some of the film’s stars – the current F1 drivers and team principals – having a private screening before the Monaco Grand Prix. All 20 drivers gathered in Monaco to see the fate of the fictional APX GP team, with Brad Pitt absent but F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, director Joe Kosinski, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer present.

Though the drivers were all smiles, Nico Hülkenberg mentioned the disappointment over the lack of movie snacks, specifically popcorn. Lando Norris from McLaren expressed his positive views on the movie, calling it an inspirational story with a cool storyline and implications for aspiring Formula 1 enthusiasts.

British driver George Russell of Williams praised the film for its potential to attract new audiences to F1, despite its Hollywood-style depictions, while double world champion Fernando Alonso approved of its representation of the sport. Overall, the response from the drivers was largely positive towards the F1 movie, with hopes that it will captivate audiences and showcase the essence of Formula 1 effectively.”
