Red Bull team principal Christian Horner dismissed speculation about Max Verstappen moving to Mercedes as “a lot of noise,” reaffirming that they have a contract with Verstappen until 2028. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff had considered Verstappen in the past but seems to suggest a low chance of him joining Mercedes in 2026. George Russell, currently with Mercedes, is waiting for a contract extension and has been linked to Aston Martin. Horner emphasized that while Russell’s situation with Mercedes is unclear, they are committed to Verstappen. The ongoing talks and rumors around driver movements are viewed as noise, with little attention from Red Bull.
